For The Encouragement Of Us All

After reading the comments on the home page, showing the incredible determination to serve Jehovah,  our brothers and sisters with disabilities have,  it isn't difficult to see why this web site was created!

There are many brothers and sisters, all over the world, who are serving Jehovah with unbelievable determination! They are blind, deaf or in some cases, both blind and deaf.  Many are partially or totally paralyzed!  Others suffer from depression, multiple sclerosis, ALS, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease or other degenerate diseases that make their lives MORE DIFFICULT EVERY SINGLE DAY and yet they don't give up! They continue to serve Jehovah faithfully and with determination despite these disabilities.  

As time goes on, they often have to search for a another way to preach to people when their disability or illness worsens. Some must write letters with their toes.  Others give public talks and talks in the ministry school turning the pages of their Bibles with their tongue!  Others actually write emails with their nose!  All of us can be so encouraged by such determination! For just such a reason, this web site was created. To share the encouraging experiences of these brothers and sisters with others for the encouragement of all of us!

One sister comments: "I take such pleasure in reading the experiences of brothers and sisters who have disabilities and serve Jehovah under such circumstances!  I am so encouraged by the experiences of these friends--some with very severe disabilities, being paraplegic, quadriplegic, deaf, blind, mute! And others who are fighting depression due to some chemical imbalance... and others  who have degenerative and little-known-by-all-diseases like ALS. I read those experiences and I cry with joy and say to myself, if I go blind, or deaf, or paralyzed or get one of these debilitating diseases I WANT TO BE LIKE THESE BROTHERS AND SISTERS!! Their experiences are so encouraging to me! And it takes away that fear that one day I might not be able to serve Jehovah if I were to become disabled--for these brothers are doing it regardless!

Embodied in the comments of appreciation for this web site from another sister is the second reason for this website:  "When all your life is crazy and you yourself are the only thing you have any control over, then you lose that too, it is horrific, terrifying, as if you're freefalling through space. Ever since we came on to the net, I've wished there were a site for sick brothers and sisters to share their experiences, to up build and encourage one another. There is such a need for it! The healthy friends really can't comprehend our problems and we cannot address our special concerns (maintaining our spirituality and trying to find ways to witness to others) on worldly sites!"

Many brothers and sisters long to be in touch with OTHERS in the Truth who are serving Jehovah under similar circumstances. This is the most natural thing in the world!  Mothers who are home-schooling their children, like to be in touch with OTHER mothers who are home-schooling.  Persons who are "in to" natural foods and herbs and natural ways of healing the body always enjoy talking with OTHERS who share this interest.  It is no different with those who are very ill or are disabled in some way! It's the most natural thing in the world to look for "common ground" in forming new relationships! A WEB SITE BRINGING TOGETHER THE EXPERIENCES OF ALL THESE DISABLED FRIENDS WOULD SERVE JUST SUCH A PURPOSE!
